I wonder whether this is also true with the new 10" or 12" Blackbird alnico

Has anybody any experience with these? Also I heard, that new alnico
speakers have to be broken in (= played) for a while since they tend to
sound harsh or shrill at the very beginning. The explanation was, afaik that
the playing is taking some stiffness out of the membrame...

Oh yes, no doubt, the true vintage Jensen P12R speakers are outstanding. It
is the new reissue Itallian "Jensen" P12R speakers that are so bright...
